Growing Together is a project to provide in-depth whole family support for children and their mums, working with each individual family according to their needs. Our playworker works with families in our on-site creche and also in their homes, providing support with play and positive interactions between children and mums, with the aim of building protective factors into each family.

This project is funded by Leeds Community Foundation, through Trauma-Informed Work in Communities funding.

Growing Together offers:

• Early years activities in our on-site creche where children are able to choose and direct their own play in a well-planned, language rich environment.

• Sensitively facilitated behaviour sessions for mums who have concerns about their children's behaviour, always informed by trauma the women and children have experienced.

• Home visits that support families in establishing a relationship with workers and feel more comfortable with leaving children in the creche environment.

• Family resource packs containing various resources and activities which families can do together to promote security, resilience and attachment.
